(Also see the original !Help(PC) file for command-line options, storyline, development history, etc.)

Hi. This is a bit pre-release, so expect bugs. The controls for Digger are:

 Arrow keys - move
 Control - fire
 N (title screen) - switch number of players
 Escape - quit
 Space (during game) - pause

It should be fairly easy to work out what to do. Better instructions later,
perhaps. Take a look at http://fly.to/digger for more info.

* Update *

The game should now degrade more gracefully on machines without 640x400
resolution screenmodes (it should use 640x480 instead). There is also
(untested) support for old machines (e.g. A5000) with MODE 27, although
the game may run too slowly (due to timing problems, not lack of processor
power!)

If you have a Risc PC with no 640x400 mode, you might like to try the one
supplied.

Extra levels (downloadable from http://fly.to/digger/) can be used
unmodified by unzipping them (using !SparkPlug or whatever) into the
'extra' directory inside the application, then typing the name of the file
after 'run <obey$dir>.!runimage' in the !Run file, eg:

  run <obey$dir>.!runimage digger:extra.crazy2/dat

There is an example line in the !Run file which is currently commented out
with a '|' character - uncomment this and comment out the following line.
There probably won't be a friendly Wimp interface to do this for you, ever.
Sorry.

I might have made some more changes too, but I can't remember right now...

* Update 2 *

This version of the port has been enhanced considerably by Andrew Jenner, filling in all of the bits which weren't in the original port (eg, recorded games, sound on/off, speed control, keyboard redefinition). Internally, the same code should now compile under DOS and Risc OS, so any future updates will be mirrored (almost) instantly. All information about command-line options in the !Help(PC) should work exactly the same in this version.
